Home Child Care Provider

We are seeking a responsible and caring Home Child Care Provider to provide attentive and reliable care for children in the employer’s private residence in Brampton, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising children, supporting their daily routines, preparing meals, maintaining a safe and healthy home environment, and assisting with age-appropriate activities and personal care.

This is a full-time, on-site position for 30 hours per week at $21.00 per hour. The position is term or contract employment and is expected to start as soon as possible.

Bottle sterilization and formula preparation

Diaper changing

Bathing and dressing children

Personal hygiene assistance

Child safety and household supervision

Light housekeeping and cleaning

Organization of recreational activities, games and outings

Maintaining children's daily activity and health records

Supporting children's emotional and social development

Following parental instructions regarding discipline and routines

Time management and organization

Ability to work independently in a private household environment

Requirements:

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of relevant experience

Language: English

Must be able to work on site at the employer’s residence

Must be legally authorized to work in Canada

Must be available to perform duties in a non-smoking home environment

Applicants should have previous experience working in the field

Responsibilities:

The Home Child Care Provider will be responsible for:

• Change diapers
• Sterilize bottles and prepare formulas
• Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
• Supervise and care for children
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Prepare meals as required
• Prepare infants and children for rest periods
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of the parents
• Discipline children according to methods requested by the parents
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
• Keep records of children's daily activities and health information
• Organize activities such as games and outings
• Take children to and from school and appointments
• Attend to the emotional well-being of children
